Profile

Formerly Ula Day Spa, Tribeca Beauty Spa was reopened in August 2007 by new owner Nadia Dekhkanova, who kept some of Ula's treatments and staff but updated the décor and added additional services. While the seven treatment rooms are still fairly unadorned, common areas like the spacious lounge now boast a bit of quasi-Old World charm thanks to velvety red paint, dark leather armchairs, and rotating art work. A large cedar sauna (available for use before or after appointments) and a small changing room with showers round out the bi-level space. On the service front, Tribeca makes skincare the focus with an extensive list of facials that combine nature-based products (Sonya Dakar, Dr. Alkaitis) with high-tech equipment like the Supersonic exfoliation, which helps improve texture and prevent signs of aging. “Nadia's Signature Facial” is a 90-minute firming and tightening treatment that features twenty minutes of facial massage—using European, pressure point, and lymphatic drainage techniques—as well as Japanese mushroom peels and organic collagen masks. Other favorites include a quick, relatively painless waxing technique for Brazilians and basic bikinis, and body treatments using Nadia's homemade scrubs (warm mineral salt, soft brown sugar, or a soothing blend of milk, honey, and almond). For feet, standouts include the Soft Calluses Pedicure, which uses a painless citrus acid peel and special mask to remove calluses and soften skin.

Bridal

At this high-tech Tribeca spot, the decadent Day Spa package lasts more than two and a half hours and includes a mani-pedi, massage, and facial ($200).
