Profile
A favorite of stylists and interior designers since 1996, Global Table is a cluttered treasure trove of affordable, exotic tabletop and home accessories. Nathalie Smith, a former stylist herself, handpicks her curios from around the world, ensuring that each piece adds a new flavor to the Table’s worldly stew. Teetering through the stamp-size space, you’ll make small discoveries perfect for gift-giving or for sprucing up a dinner party: hand-carved rosewood serving utensils from Thailand, silver-plated bronze finger bowls from India, and ceramic sea urchin–shaped votives from the Philippines. Smith’s particular weakness, though, is for tea sets—retro-inspired ceramic pots perch on one shelf and cast-iron Japanese services fill yet another.
Key Departments
RegistryThis Soho shop doesn’t sell flatware, but does have glassware, place mats, and funky melamine serving trays.
