Never tell a pet owner “It’s just a dog.” Pampered pooches are like children, and Fido, Spot, and Dusty have made way for more human names like Lucy, Bella, and Stan. For the hard-core dog lover, DoggyStyle is the place to find name-brand (Ella Dish, Wagwear, Kwigybo) collars, leashes ($25–$130), harnesses, toys, beds (from $100), and whatever else your four-legged friend needs. Cool touches include customized tees and toy boxes—apply your dog’s picture to either—and monogrammed bags and blankets. Owner Andy Schulman even works with a painter who does doggy portraits (from $150). Where else can you say, “Lawrence and I can’t go out without our matching Donald Pliner leather coats” and not sound foolish?
