- Colin The King of Karaoke
-
Williamsburg lacks a true karaoke bar, and thank God—that means M.C. Colin Schiller can thrive. With D.J. Tark, he roams the neighborhood (Capone’s on Mondays, Alligator Lounge on Thursdays, Trash on Fridays, and across the river at Lit on Sundays) bearing a laptop filled with 4,800 songs, from Fugazi to Kelly Clarkson. Schiller encourages screaming, cursing, and nudity, but if you want to jump the line, keep quiet. “The most ridiculous thing is when some guy says, ‘Let me go next. I’m in a band so it’s gonna be good,’ ” he says. “I’m like, ‘Dude, everyone here is in a band.’ But we take bribes.”
