  After being laid off from Citibank, Brooklyn Heights native David Alperin opened this 750-square-foot menswear boutique and gallery to cater to men who, like himself, are beyond their hipster phase and just want well-made, stylish clothes. Inside the living-room-like space, clothing fills four steel rolling racks, shoes are shelved in two fifties-era phone booths, and denim is laid across vintage trunks. Alperin stocks less than a dozen lines, chosen for craftsmanship and durability. T-shirts start at $30, while serious outerwear goes up to a fair $500.
