Best Consignment Furniture

  • Décor NYC

    159 W. 25th St., nr. Seventh Ave.; 212-488-4977

When heiresses and hedge-funders get bored of their living-room sets (sometimes before ever sitting on them), they have three choices: donate it, stick it in storage, or call this luxury furniture-consignment shop, which has oodles of room for castoffs in its 10,000 square feet. Interior-design veteran Bruce Tilley taps his contacts in the business for the wide-ranging collection, which includes vintage Turkish carpets, mid-century light fixtures, and John Derian découpage. A typical visit might turn up a Roche Bobois white leather sectional (originally $17,000, now $3,500), red-lacquered Harris Rubin bookshelves ($3,200, down from $7,500), or a duo of two-tier brass side tables by Jonathan Adler (once $1,600, now $499). New treasures arrive every week.
