There’s no mistaking Jeremy Argyle’s mission: shirts, shirts, and more shirts (okay, plus the odd tie and sweater). The fitted cotton button-downs, each retailing for $148 apiece, are cut longer than your average dress shirt, so you can wear them untucked with jeans as well as with a suit. Designer Brian Jeremy Guttman unveils new styles every week—from indie-rocker plaids to interview-appropriate stripes to dinner-date gingham—which makes this new West Village location (a more intimate follow-up to Guttman’s four-year-old Soho spot) a singularly reliable resource.
