Profile
Despite the HP sauce on the tables and being named after the street where Sherlock Holmes resided, this sports bar considers itself more Irish than English and its true roots lie in the world’s first TGI Friday’s, which occupied this corner in the sixties. Irish beef stew, fish and chips, and chicken pot pie meet steak fajitas, nachos, wings and chili on the menu, and martinis come in flavors of raspberry and apple. The dark wood bar and elevated dining area have a handsome quality suited for the neighborhood professionals who come to hoist 20-ounce pints of tap beers as they converse about the rugby, soccer, and Sunday football games that are broadcast on the 12 TVs, all of them flat screen.
Extra
The kitchen is open until midnight on Sunday through Thursday, but stays open until 1am on Friday and Saturday.
