Profile
Hanging out in the Pine Tree Lodge feels like being in a log cabin on acid. Deer heads, inner tubes, and animal skins hang on the wall, while a mix of rap and pop music blasts from the bar’s jukebox. Mix all of this with the typical Murray Hill crowd and it may be a bit overwhelming, especially when the bar gets packed on weekends. When the weather permits, there is a spacious back patio which provides a great escape from the somewhat cramped space inside. The best time to come to the Pine Tree Lodge is on a weeknight, after work, when you can split the two-for-one draft specials with a friend (or keep them both for yourself) and grab a couch in the back room. Peruse the bookshelf, and pretend that you’re relaxing in your own Adirondack cabin. If that doesn’t suit your fancy, there’s always Buck Hunter.
