This expansion of Michael Sinensky’s bar empire (Webster Hall, SideBAR) is almost a spitting image of its sister bar in the East Village. But the Morningside Heights location finds its frat-bar vibe more organically embraced uptown: Its 5,000-square-feet is jovially filled with hordes of Columbia kids, post-graduation types still hanging around, and a few longtime, laid-back neighborhood vets. Plasma flat-screens and a projector televise several channels (unless it’s Monday night, and thus football night), and autographed jerseys hang framed on the walls. The D.J. spins Top 40s, hip-hop, and reggaeton for the drunken, torn-jean-and-flip-flop toting collegiates. Also on hand are the ever-popular beer-pong tables, and Karaoke Tuesdays, Trivia Wednesdays, and Monday night’s $16.95 all-you-can-eat wings. Twenty beers on tap fuel the debauchery.
