Affirmations like “Calm,” and “Peace” hang on the doors of this simple yet luxurious hotel spa, which cares as much about the environment as its guests' well-being. Flickering candlelight accents the warm space, which includes three private treatment rooms and a changing room equipped with a marble shower, and recycled bamboo is found everywhere from the wall coverings to the surprisingly comfortable robe. Treatments utilize the eco-friendly, fully customizable Kerstin Florian line, and are designed with the urban professional in mind, a nod to the spas’s proximity to Penn Station. Menu items include the signature Jet Lag Recovery, a lavender-heavy full body scrub treatment, and the revitalizing Urban Therapy facials and massages. Men get in on the action with their own raspberry-scented “Man about Town” treatment, as do expectant mothers with the “Flourish,” massage, which is designed to reduce lower back and hip pain. — Vanita Salisbury

The spa is located on the fifth floor of the Eventi, adjacent to their hospitality suites and outdoor terraces, and can be rented out for bridal showers, birthday parties, or girls’ nights out.
