A trip to Pashah is as much about enjoying the tranquility of the 3,500-square-foot loft-style space—perched above Madison Avenue's Emporio Armani store—as getting the services. Walnut wood, white leather furniture, custom workstations, and three-foot deep washbasins designed by owner and head stylist Pancho Soekoro outfit the beautiful indoor space, while, in warmer months, clients can take their complimentary wine and cappuccinos out to a daybed on the sprawling terrace. Since opening his own salon, the industry veteran has been on a mission to encourage healthy hair via a good cut, and to discourage over-processing; it's his talent for corrective styling that has secured many a new client. The salon also offers a slew of conditioning treatments and employs advanced techniques like hair painting and traverse layering to achieve that natural care-free look. Soekoro honed his styling skills at the best salons in the city (Frédéric Fekkai, Warren Tricomi, Pierre Michel) and has amassed many a celebrity client—Vogue's Anna Wintour, for one—along the way.
