Profile
This Australian space is tiny. But the lunch-and-dinner menu is fairly expansive, with plenty of choices that, if not strictly Australian, excite enthusiasm from the substantially Down Under clientele sitting at the five picnic tables. There are panini with Italian cold cuts; a decent pasta Bolognese; and a salad of roast pumpkin, baby spinach, and chevre in a balsamic dressing. For homesick expats, Ruby’s is also one of the few places in town to get a true-blue Aussie burger—ground beef mixed with finely chopped peppers and onions, then topped with a fried egg, beet slices, and roasted pineapple. In the morning, for "breakie," have a “flat white”—their none-too-foamy variation of a café latte.
