This Korea-based company’s first U.S. outpost offers French-inspired, feminine designs with a subtle edge, pairing silk and chiffon with leather and metallic details. The flowing cocktail frocks evoke the wearable sensibility of the Max Azria boutique nearby, but at a lower price point. Many of the flattering cuts feature belted waists and gathered hemlines to complement a range of frames. A selection of short leather jackets in tobacco and cream and sharp fitted blazers add versatility to pretty, loose silhouettes. Racks of cotton and cashmere knits and diaphanous silk skirts and dresses span the length of the store beneath a band of mirrors, while vertical waves of frosted glass on the opposing wall give the space depth. Two of the company’s three lines are available in the Soho boutique: the eponymous Eryn brinié collection of dainty pastels, delicate, understated beading, and lightweight knits; and the rock-influenced Kai-aakmann line, offering bolder prints, shorter skirts, and jewel tones. The accessories provide colorful accents for both collections, including peep-toe pumps and suede cutout boots, affordable handbags and small leather goods, and gauzy scarves.
