Huntington Beach-based Quiksilver sells garb and gear for surf, snow and skateboarders—and those who want to look like them. The menswear line offers classic West Coast-style cargo pants, graffiti-adorned board shorts, loose fitting QuikJeans, innumerable hoodies and Hawaiian floral silk-screened shirts; little men, ages 8 and up, can choose from a smaller selection of similarly SoCal clothes, while older guys go for Silver Edition attire, featuring classic Aloha shirts. Girls and aging Gidgets pick from the Roxy lineup: Girly board shorts, aged sweatshirts and itty-bitty bikinis engineered to stay on in the surf, all of which adorn the racks year-round. This one-stop shop for hang-ten living also sells shades, backpacks, and flip-flops for all, plus surfing musts like leashes, wet suits, rash guards and a wide selection of name-brand boards. Skaters can choose from a small range of wheels and, in-season, snowboarders will find all their necessary gear. Surfboard-shaped door handles and chandeliers help set the theme, as do museum-like displays of surfing memorabilia and Playstation kiosks offering virtual samples of the surf, snow, and skate lifestyles. — Eve Gerber
