Class Action

So you’ve mastered Warrior 1 and some moves on the Pilates reformer and can manage the elliptical without too much huffing and puffing. But can you put them all together? The newly relocated Exhale spa offers the toughest and most efficient workout hour in the city. Core Fusion is a tightly choreographed class that flows from weight work to ballet-based moves to exercises that borrow from yoga and Pilates. It’s the brainchild of Elisabeth Halfpapp and Fred DeVito (pictured), formerly of Lotte Berk Method. Strengthening your core—the area from your butt to your abs—is the goal, but every body part will feel stretched and buffed. And the brisk pace makes it a cardio challenge. The best part, however, may be the end, when, as you’re resting, eyes closed, in savasana, a therapist dispenses shoulder and head massages to a lucky few; $30 single session (980 Madison Avenue, near 76th Street, second floor; 212-249-3000).
