PAPIVORE
233 Elizabeth St.
212-334-4330

Thank heavens it’s back. When it first opened on Perry Street in 1997, Papivore was the kind of store that sold pink note cards printed with MON PETIT CHOU and customized stationery in unusual color combinations for very reasonable prices. Then its wholesale grew so fast it made more sense to shutter the shop and focus on that end of the business. But in November, Papivore reopened for walk-ins. It would be a shame to order white note cards with a navy address there; not that it couldn’t be done, but why waste the potential? Here’s where you can order up some pale-green note cards printed in lavender ink, and toy with the idea of having a correspondence with a friend that doesn’t involve the symbol @.
