Muehling’s work has nothing to do with carat-counting: It’s about a streamlined aesthetic and sublime stones. Settings range from small drops (from $100) to clusters of turquoise beads ($500) or an intricately wrought brooch studded with tiny diamonds and pearls ($3,800)—which means there’s something you can afford and something more to dream about. Which is exactly how a jewelry shop should be.
