The Studio Museum in Harlem and El Museo del Barrio often showcase the work of some of the area’s most prominent artists, past and present.

Tips

On Sundays during the summer, the Harlem Meer holds free concerts hosting a rotating lineup of gospel choirs and groups.

Harlem Week is an annual monthlong festival that occurs during August and includes events like Concert Under the Stars, Uptown Saturday Night, and the National Black College Fair & Expo that celebrate the area's heritage.
