For DIY-inclined brides, the company’s Surroundings Flowers: Wholesale Market shops, also in Manhattan, offer their growers’ flowers at wholesale prices. Bouquets from $150; centerpieces from $125.

Takashimaya Floral Boutique

Designer Golf Srithamrong, who creates modern sculptural arrangements, is dubbed "the orchid king" of New York. Srithamrong brought his high-end aesthetic to a recent New York wedding, where he crafted ten-feet-tall "tree" centerpieces from orchids and other flowers. Prices upon request.

VSF (Very Special Flowers)

With 25 years of business under its belt, this charming shop specializes in English country-garden style -tight arrangements of European garden blooms. Sarah Jessica Parker sought out VSF to create bridesmaid bouquets for the Sex and the City movie. Bouquets from $200; centerpieces start at $300.

Wolfgang Design

For a wedding at the Plaza, German-born, ¬Paris-educated Wolfgang Thom designed a twelve-foot ¬chuppa from 7,000 white orchids and placed a six-foot-tall centerpiece on each table. Thom provides all services necessary for décor, including flowers (sourced from an organic farm upstate), lighting, and furniture rental. Prices upon request.

Zezé

Zezé uses a variety of brilliantly colored flowers to create arrangements-currently favoring pairings like orange and hot pink, as well as lots of gold. Flowers are the focus; the vases are simple glass. Centerpieces start at $200; bouquets at $250.
