Those who are beginning to feel bad about their necks may feel similarly not so great about their hands—and the protruding veins that grow ever more prominent as the skin loses elasticity. Dr. Navarro, the founding surgeon at the Vein Treatment Center and a three-decade specialist in the field, has developed a fix for this issue: a painless 30-minute treatment called cryo sclerotherapy ($1,000). Ice-cold blasts of air numb the area and five tiny needles are used to inject a mild chemical-based solution into the vein, causing it to shrink and then disappear within two weeks. Some patients require a follow-up session ($500), but for the most part, just be diligent about applying sunscreen, and the results should last long term.
