Best Bar With Games

Playtime at the Crocodile Lounge.
  • Crocodile Lounge

    325 E. 14th St.; 212-477-774

Sometimes you just want to indulge in a dorky bar game. This subterranean watering hole boasts, in addition to games like Buck Hunter and Whack-a-Mole, two Skee Ball lanes, a garden out back, and a photo booth for capturing revelry. On Wednesday nights, an unpretentious gang of young drinkers hunkers down to answer just-hard-enough questions (Johnny Depp’s character’s name on 21 Jump Street, anyone?) for the coveted Trivia Night prize: a $40 tab at the bar. The rotating beers on tap include rarities like Keegan’s Mothers Milk, the music is up-to-date indie (think Peter Bjorn and John), and you get a free, perfectly serviceable personal pizza with every drink you order.
