    Currently an ice-skating complex, come spring, Lakeside transforms into a roller rink and an immersive sprinkler system that offers the most refreshing free full-body soak this side of a public pool. Unveiled last May, and open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 41 jets blast water in unpredictable patterns, so kids don’t know when they’ll get doused. The under-age-12 rule is strictly enforced, so parents need not worry about rowdy teens as they watch their tykes from shaded sideline seating or the nearby Bluestone Café.
