The group behind this out-of-the-way cocktail venture has a combined résumé that includes stints at Dutch Kills, Pegu Club, and—most important to the feel here—Painkiller. Tiki freaks, rejoice! The dark-wood-heavy décor’s not as kitschy as the late, island-themed LES lounge, but the ace drinks will take you back, like the Kon-Tiki Mai Tai ($12), which blends rums with absinthe, fresh juices, and ginger syrup. It’s the type of place bartenders go after their shifts: Don’t be surprised to see the staff of nearby Michelin-starred Danny Brown.
