The brand’s newest 4,000-square-foot flagship has a less frenzied vibe and more interactive features than the manic Rock Center outpost. Beyond the LEGO Friends, Duplo’s, and other sets for all ages and skill levels, and past the custom-made Big Apple replicas (including an eight-foot Statue of Liberty torch), there is a front-of-store lounge for crafting plastic masterpieces, as well as a mini-fig bar, where giddy kids can mix and match different elements to build a trio of tiny figurines for just $10. But the best deal for little LEGO lovers comes at the first of every month, when 250 seasonal sets that aren’t available for regular purchase are given out to children ages 6 to 14 on a first-come basis.
