When most of the city is still struggling through its evening commute, house fans are packing West Chelsea’s Club MK to work up a sweat to the sounds of D.J. MKL. Thrown by “Body & Soul” promoter John Davis, the weekly Thursday-night “Love Affair” party attracts dreadlocked Brooklynites, Japanese house fanatics, and track-suited dancers. Drawing clubbers straight from the cubicle to the dance floor isn’t easy, so Davis added an Asian-themed buffet. But on a recent Thursday, most revelers seemed satisfied with MKL’s brand of epic, orchestral house music as well as MK’s spacious dance floor.
