Brooklyn Children's Museum
145 Brooklyn Avenue, Crown Heights
718-735-4400

Admittedly, the Brooklyn Children's Museum isn't easy to find. But those who haven't made the trip to this Crown Heights culture spot within Brower Park, where street parking is relatively easy, are truly missing something. The strangely shaped building — entered by going up a set of stairs, then traveling underground through a People Tube — houses a diverse and constantly changing group of exhibits and programs, from an exploration of love in different cultures to the current "Starquest, the Mysteries of the Starry Skies," through June 9. There are endless places for kids to explore; BCM is hands-on — as well as knees-on. (Suggested donation, $4.)
