When Terrance Brennan opened his fromage lovers' paradise Artisanal last year, he had to create a few more things than just the best cheese plate in town. Currently it's the cheese gougères that have become an addiction for many people. Baskets filled with warm, cheesy puff balls served straight from the oven can be ordered at the bar as an hors d'oeuvre or as an appetizer with dinner. They're crisp on the outside and soft in the center, flavored with just the right amount of Gruyère and a delicate crunch of sea salt at the end.
