Rocking out: The climbing wall at Chelsea Piers.
|
Tackle the rock-climbing wall together at Chelsea Piers. Novices, don't worry: An instructor will show you the ropes. But if that sounds too strenuous (or heights aren't your thing), try golf. Blast some balls at the driving range.
Chelsea Piers, West Side Highway btwn 17th and 22nd Sts., 212-336-6500; chelseapiers.com. Rock climbing sessions cost $20 per person; reservations required. 60 balls at the golf range costs $15.
Then, dance to the live music at Pier 62.
Pier 62, 23rd St. and the Hudson River. Free music on Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 4pm.
Veer inland for some fast food to make up for all those burnt calories. At F&B (which stands for Frites and Beignets), you can share New York's classiest fries, and hot dogs. And for dessert: What's more romantic than dunking donuts a deux in mango, chocolate, and caramel sauce?
F&B,
F&B, 269 W. 23rd St., Between Seventh and Eighth Aves., 646-486-4441.
Estimated cost: $50
